  1. greatDisney Princess Half Marathon 13.33 mi / 03:22 15:10 pace

I was impressed with myself for my first half marathon. Before this, the longest I had run was 6 miles. Of course I did 1:1 intervals up until mile 9 then my legs/knees just wouldn't let me run. I ended up walking most of the last 4 miles with the o... read more

Nice work! My legs gave out too, but I just had to finish. Now it's time to rest for a week ;)

Exactly! I'm nervous about how I will feel after being immobile over night...hopefully my knees won't freeze up!

  2. goodneighborhood run 2.2 mi / 00:33 14:59 pace

I'm not sure why I bother running. My walking is much faster. I keep being told that it will improve...I'm beginning to wonder if that is really true for me. I meet with my pulmonologist next month. That will be a question for him. But honestly, I... read more

  3. great 2.2 mi / 00:33 14:59 pace

After almost 3 weeks off due to sinus infection/bronchitis, I decided to ease back into activity with an easy walk. It felt really good to get my heart rate up and sweat a little. It's amazing how that works. You have to drag yourself off the couch ... read more

That sucks that you were sideline with sickness for 3 weeks. That's a really fast walking pace, so you should have no problem finishing the half marathon before the cut-off.

  4. blahNeighborhood Jog 2.01 mi / 00:32 15:46 pace

This was a horrible run. I made the mistake at eating not-so-healthy food for lunch. I am learning that I cannot eat that way any more. It just kills me! Halfway through the run I got a pretty severe stitch in my left side. I had to walk through 2... read more

  5. goodNeighborhood Jog 2.2 mi / 00:33 14:59 pace

A little slower today. My legs felt heavy and tired. I did a 2:1 interval and was able to maintain. I did walk one complete interval due to a high heart rate. If I would have ran all of them, I probably would have done a little better. I need to r... read more

  6. greatNeighborhood jog 2.1 mi / 00:30 14:17 pace

Nothing like creating a challenge then not posting anything! This is getting so much easier. I was able to do 2:1 intervals, however, my walking was just as fast as the running. Still don't think I could keep that pace for 13.1 miles, but I still ha... read more

  7. goodNeighborhood Jog 1.9 mi / 00:30 15:47 pace

It's nice to know that taking a break didn't effect my time much. I'm doing the Galloway method and it seems to be doing the trick for me. I may have to do the entire half marathon in a 1:1 interval. But I need to pick up the pace a little if I'm go... read more

I'm doing the Disney Princess Half in March. Was going to do the Gasperilla but chose the ADA bike ride instead.

  8. greatWalking the Dog 3 mi / 00:50 16:40 pace

I finally got to get out and actually do some exercise! Unfortunately after about 10 min my Garmin died so I didn't get to finish the whole thing doing my intervals. So I simply walked briskly keeping my heart rate up to at least get that benefit. I... read more

  9. goodCady Way 21 mi / 01:57 10.8mph pace

We were still a little slow today. I had times where I was averaging 12-14 mph but I slowed on several occasions to get my heart rate down. The goal was to keep between zone 3 & 4. I spent about 1:30 in that range. I am definitely noticing the ... read more

      Nice Job:

Lisa P nice job considering you were on MTB instead of road bike. One of these days I will have to come to Cady Way and ride with you.

Thanks! We ride most Sunday mornings. I'm a little slower than the other people we have trained with, so I feel more comfortable kinda doing things on my own. I don't like holding people back. There are 4 of us. We usually go from Oviedo to Baldwin, stop for a smoothie, then ride back. It's very laid back. Joe and I usually ride ahead then we meet up with the others at stop lights, etc. Feel free to join anytime!
