    First run in almost a week. It's always hard to get out of the slump!

      Thanks! I really increased my running in January and I try to rein it in whenever my feet feel sore - since I do all my running in Vibrams, the slightest ache turns me into a lazy baby :D

  4. I guess this week was kind of a bust, but let's see if I can get 15 miles next week. Had an awful headache today so instead of running, I napped through the first half of the game :)

    injured to Hacienda with E 2.12 mi 00:27 12:48 pace

    I stopped after 1.2 miles to catch my breath, then realized my calves weren't just tight but cramping. Maybe I tried to go too fast. Walked back. Need rest :(

    The Oreos didn't help tonight. Legs felt tired and super heavy. Oh well, got a good 4 miles to start the month. Happy February!

    E and I ran the fastest mile of my life today! That sounds all dramatic, but it was a modest 9:20. Vast improvement over the 11:40 that barely passed 9th grade PE class.

    Apparently the key to an awesome long run is consistency. Or the two Oreos I stuffed in my mouth before I left home.

    Is it cheating if I prefer running paths that start downhill? Started uphill today and felt like I just couldn't make up for the slow start. On the bright side, neighbor cat made an appearance today.

    5K with E. You know, most people don't train for a 5K by running a 5K, but E is just one of those guys who can get up and run 3 miles. Makes me sick ;)

      Thanks! I got weirdly allergic after this run - must have been the cold or something, my head got all stuffy and my eyes swelled up. Ugh. Anyway - at least it counted against my "zero" for this week :)

    Short run with E, greeted by neighbor cat on our way home. The cat only comes out when E runs with me! Maybe it knows that if I were alone I would totally pet it for an hour.
