I have never had such heavy legs while running. It was actually kind of painful. Blah. I'm going to have to stretch really well today. I just couldn't get them to move, they seriously wanted to stick to the ground. I was planning on doing 8+ but it jus... read more

Alexis ran 3.1 miles in 27 mins great5K on the Treadmill – 3.1 mi / 00:27 08:46 pace
My fastest 5K time yet. I started off just planning on doing 2 miles as a warm up and did it in 17:52 so I decided to just go the 5K distance. I did slow down to a 9:30 pace for .2 miles so that slowed my total time but I'm glad I got under 9 min pace ... read more

The weather is great right now for some outdoor runs and if we can schedule some fun workouts together to help motivate each other; I'm excited to put my shoes on... -

I just found out about the Diablo Trails Challenge this Saturday. I wish I knew earlier. I'm thinking of just entering the 5K since I've never really done trails before, but it's only $5 more for the 10K...decisions. Who's doing it?

Its not to far from me . I ran my first trail run last weekend.... what is your pace?

:-) Alexis those hills/mountains destroy my pace! On a good day I can do ~13 miles at about a 8:00 pace. At these events (my 3rd one by Brazen Racing) I hit 13:00 - 15:00 on the uphill portions. Of course, on the downhills you regain time... I often weave in/out between 6:00 and 7:30 pace! This time I'm hoping to do better on the uphillls. We'll see...
Anyway... 1/2 starts at 9:00am. 10k at 9:10am. 5k at 9:20am.

Oh man Alex! If you slow to 13-15 pace my pace is going to be like a snail! I'm scared! I think I found an old high school friend on FB who will do it with me though. I'll let you know if I do it so we can try to meet up before hand.

Alexis walked 3.28 miles alrightLeisure Walk to Blackhawk Plaza – 3.28 mi
I almost didn't record this as a "workout" since I was wearing flip flops but considering I was pushing over 100lbs (35 lb stroller, 42 lb kid, 31 lb kid) and I live on top of a steep hill, I decided to record it. It was a slow walk but defi... read more

Any ladies have suggestions for good supportive sports bras? I need some new ones.
-
I like the moving comfort fiona bra..good support for C and D...I like the adjustable shoulder straps and the eye hooks in the back which means I don't have to squeeze into in.

Thanks Middalia. I'll look those up now.

I just got Moving Comfort-not the Fiona just an overhead one but I love that it's got a little padding...now I don't feel like I'm being obscene when I work out, lol.

I know what ya mean...all the moving comfort have a double layer of material which also prevents that...

Alexis ran 8.62 miles in 1 hour and 24 mins goodWalnut Creek/Lafayette/Moraga – 8.62 mi / 01:24 09:44 pace
Beautiful day and much warmer than I was expecting. I forgot to put on sunscreen and have some serious tan lines. I also forgot my water and that kinda hurt.
Moved a little slower than I wanted but finally realized I needed to not worry about speed an... read more
