I feel a bit uncomfortable on how Muay thai differentiate men and women. I feel empowered with the way we train here because in our fight camp, there is no boy or girl, just people. I might whine a bit but I do the same routine as the rest of the guys.

peaking would depend on your training schedule. you can google search for endurance sports there are ton of articles on periodization -if ir ember it right a training plan in 3 phases build a base, build on top of it, and peak/taper. your maintence plan sounds good just build up your long run slowly

oh...just want to add....Muay Thai equivalent of Krav Maga will be Muay Boran. This is the origin of Muay Thai, used for fighting. I only learned a bit of Muay Boran but it uses a lot of knees and elbows. Those are the hardest striking. It doesn't get bound by combat sport rules so the elbows can go flying from multiple directions. If I have to choose Krav vs Muay Boran, I might go with Muay Boran :D

  10. The preliminary - my first amateur fight. All the training went out of the window and simply relied on instinct/adrenaline. Not as technical as I would like but I got the W.

I didn't win the belt and ended at 2nd. I went to final and lost to a heart wrenching split decision after 3 rounds of hard battle. However, the most valuable lesson often came from losing.

yeah Patty...because I didn't get to 108.5 naturally. 4 lbs of that were water and then I skipped a meal. So it's very natural for us to eat (think of it as carb loading) and rehydrate after the weigh in. I usually put around 4 - 5 lbs back.
