oh the "favortie" part of the TRI the run, ummmm yea, that's it. So I really didn't care too much what I did on the run, just get through it to the finish. I kind of knew in my head when I went out I wanted to be under 1:40 for the whole thing I should probably run some of it at least. My calves were really tight the first mile (migh help to have done some bricks this summer, nahhh). Once I got to the top of the hill I told myself I had to run to the turn around point. Then when I got to the downhill I told myself I had to run for at least 1/2 mile... I tried my swimming techniuqe of the "alphabet game" and singing Christmas carols in my head... it seemed to help. From that point I ran some walked some and eventually made it to the finish to recieve the teddy bear bling (really?!?!?!). I was surprised to see I took a 1:13 of f last years time. Overall I shaved almost 4 minutes off my overall time for a total of 1:38, I could not be happier... wonder what I could have done if I actually trained? In the end I am so glad I went.
