Told myself I was getting up and getting outside this morning. Even left my clothes right next to my bed so I'd have to trip over them when I finally dragged myself out.
And I did.
Walked a total of 3.8 miles to and from Castle Island with a set of intervals covering the 1.7 mile loop around (60s on, 90s off). If I'm going to have to start over, I'd better be consistent about it. And I did feel strong during my run portion, which was a relief. Breathing was focused and controlled, and my HR was in the "proper" range - a huge success considering the results a couple of weeks ago.
Just trying to remember: "A journey of one thousand miles begins with one step."
