I won't lie peops, it was hard. I had no pain, but the left leg was very sluggish, and 10 days with no running mixed with 80 degrees and humid took a toll on my endurance. But I couldn't be happier to be able to continue running right up until surgery in June!!

Awesome that you're still able to run. Are you wearing a brace or anything? I had to when I did it (or maybe didn't have to but it felt better) because my leg liked to randomly buckle, woo! Very impressive to keep running!

YOu ran with a torn ACL too!! Awesome, what;s the most you ran? I am still thinking of doing a 5-miler in June.
No brace for me. I am lucky nothing else in the knee is damaged, besides to ACL. Doc said I can do anything with a front-to-back motion on stable surfaces, as long as I have no pain. Plus I am doing PT twice a week.

I did! I did find that cycling felt better but it got too boring. 5 miles was my maximum. I got hurt in November and had surgery in January. PT is ridiculously important because your quad muscle is going to disappear after surgery. Don't worry, it'll come back quick with the exercises they tell you to do! I did have mcl/meniscus damaged too so my leg might have felt more unstable or it could have been in my head. The way I figure it, I ca'nt really hurt it more and if I do, I'm sure they'll fix it.

Thanks, Chelsea! Yeah, I tore my ACL, MCL, and meniscus in the other knee in high school, and I could barely walk normally before surgery. That's why I am so happy to be having much better luck so far this time. :)
