    I ran 3.1 in 37 minutes at 1.0 incline on treadmill and then walked the rest but i am really happy i did 4 miles!

  4. Do you guys suggest I run about 1-2 miles every day for the next week or two or should i just try to run 3ish 3-4 days a week? What would get me in faster shape without killing me? ;)

      I think it depends on who you ask.....everyone has their theories. I feel for me running every other day is much more effective, especially if you add strength work.

      Hmm... If you're just getting back into running, I'd say to start by running 1-2 every other day, and work up to the 3ish 3-4 days a week. Don't jump right into 3milers! Take it slow to avoid injury.

      Laura, I am a beginning runner going on about 6 weeks now. I started using an iPod app called Couch2K which has a program of 3 days a week. It slowly builds up your stamina by increasing your run/walk increments. Total distance is about 2.5 miles, about 35 min a day.
