  1. RUN
    2.7 mi

Took the dogs for a jog, one at a time. Layla is all about going and George just wants to take it slow and enjoy the scenery. Still, finally got to stretch my legs a bit.

  2. Darn my graduating semester. Now that the marathon is done all I've been doing is projects and work. Hoping to clear some stuff out and make time for running.

  3. RUN
    3.1 mi

Wine and run experience with the group. I didn't actually drink any wine, but it was nice to get together for a purely fun and social run. It was slow going, relaxed and I think we spent 5 minutes ... read more

    6.5 mi 00:30 13.0mph pace

Took a nice and easy bike ride to stretch out my muscles a bit. Still sore from the race, but a little less so. Crazy strong headwind in some spots made for a little work, but overall I felt good. ... read more

ING Miami Marathon 26.2 mi 03:51 08:48 pace

(warning! long recap ahead!) I did it!! I will say, there were moments of serious doubt in those last few miles. I would think "you know, I can just stop. I don't have to do this," but da... read more

Congratulations Mandy! The wall is a bitch, isn't it? Its so crazy how you can just be cruising along and then BAM, it comes out of no where and cripples you, isn't it? Way to push thru it and your Dailymile fam is proud of you!

  8. RUN
    4.3 mi

I've decided not to wear my Garmin or watch for any runs leading up to the race this week. They're supposed to be nice and easy, so I'm avoiding have a time or pace to look at. 6 days to go!

    Pace Run 10.12 mi 01:25 08:21 pace

    Riverview Track 5.5 mi

Taper track workouts seem so easy, especially compared to what I was doing last week. It was chilly and I couldn't feel my fingers. However, knee pains were minimal. As usual, 0.25mi jog between re... read more

Yay for taper! Rest up and don't be surprised if your body does funny things over the next 2 weeks. Random new aches and pains, feeling restless, etc. Its all a part of the dreaded taper. :)

    3.11 mi 00:34 10:56 pace

Super slow couple of miles. Some joint pain the last week or two, so I just took it easy today in preparation for my last long run. 18 tomorrow and then it's taper!

  17. RUN
    6.48 mi 01:02 09:31 pace

Loving my new Asics. I can see the difference of wearing a new pair where the support hasn't been worn down to nothing. Just nice and slow.

    Cooldown 0.68 mi 00:16 24:07 pace

Coach had to get home, so we didn't have time for a cooldown at the track. As soon as I got home, headed out to take the dogs for a walk and got my semi-cooldown that way.
