I spent the week since my failure on Tuesday rehabbing the shit out of my shins and calves. I was terrified to even take one step of a run today, worrying about how it was going to feel. But I went out, did some plyo to warm up my legs and took off. My legs felt GREAT! No discomfort or tightness or soreness out of my shins today. That makes me SO happy. My mind needed that going into race week. I'm going to keep up the stretching and foam rolling and Stick-ing all week in addition to whatever running needs to be done, and hopefully (FINALLY!) head into Lakefront Marathon feeling like a million bucks. Or at least thirty bucks. I'll take what I can get.
