Ugh. Bagging my planned 10-mile marathon pace run until tomorrow. I just can't hammer it out today. I felt too fatigued during warm up, and with the weather as it is (ridiculously windy and warm), I'd have to take it to the gym on the treadmill, which I have a huge mental block about. I really need this run to go well (feel good, strong) and I really want it to be outside so I can push the pace and feel the pace on my own. My mind cannot afford a crappy test run at marathon pace. I realize I'm being a wimp about the weather, but I KNOW I wouldn't be able to push my pace in these conditions, so I'd give up and the whole thing would be a wash. So, onward to a hopefully better and stronger day tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

    I'm with you on the "no treadmill" thing - especially this time of year, I'm not moving inside until it's absolutely necessary. And BTW - I'm about 2 minutes/mile slower on the treadmill - so I understand not being able to push it there as well.

    Nope -- this is for the Lakefront Marathon in October. But I AM running the 50K on Saturday. But that's for "fun"... no racing or stress. Just running. :)
