I AM SO SICK OF HOT. Had big intentions for a half marathon simulation today with the last six miles at goal pace, but after the first (pleasant) 7 miles, it got way too damn hot. Started the first tempo mile and knew the rest of the miles weren't gonna happen the way I'd planned. Ugh. Had 14 on the schedule today (7 easy, 6 at goal pace, then 1 easy), but once I hit 10 miles, we walked our asses home. It was miserable hot. I had Jeffrey D. with me, thank god, because I would've wimped out much sooner. I was excited to take him on his first lake loop. I'm super bummed the workout didn't go as planned, but nothing to be done about it now. Glad it's over. Ready for January.
