good Speed: progressive 800-meter intervals 8 mi

Super happy with how this went, considering I was sort of dreading it all day. Started with a 15-minute warm up followed by (6) 100-meter strides and then (6) 800-meter intervals with a 400-meter jog after each.

I wanted to keep them all below about a 7:50-min/mile pace, which I did. I found I'm able to much more easily control my pace and speed, which I've never been able to do when it comes to intervals. Usually I go balls-to-the-wall and blow out on the last few. But on this, I was able to control myself and actually get faster with each interval. I'm pretty proud of that little progress in my speed work. I shall credit coach Caleb M. for that accomplishment :)

one: 3min 54sec (7:48 pace)
two: 3min 48sec (7:36 pace)
three: 3min 44sec (7:28 pace)
four: 3min 41sec (7:22 pace)
five: 3min 40sec (7:20 pace)
six: 3min 34sec (7:08 pace)

Ended with a 1.5-mile cooldown to hit 8 miles for the day, and headed home to dinner.

Yeah, I did it all in the arboretum... just tracked it on the Garmin. It's works great, but those couple hills in there totally suck.
