Was hoping for a nice, relaxed, easy-breezy run, but nope. Took about four miles before my body felt warmed up (which is why the 5K is the bane of my existence) and overall the whole run just felt like work. Probably the one-week running sabbatical didn't do much good, but you know...
First run in the Saucony Cortanas, and after a few stops to adjust the laces and stretch out my calves, they were pretty nice. Anyone know if the drop on these is any less than the Brooks PureFlow? My legs (particularly my calves) were pretty tired at first, and I wondered if that might be the cause.
Soooo... onto another week. Here's hoping it's a good one. Now I have to go kick my ass at some strength circuit Caleb M. prescribed this week. EEEEEK.
