Woke up at 5 a.m. like a good girl and actually got my butt out the door at 5:15. Thankful, again, for my running buddies, since Diana C. crawled out of bed and joined me. We rambled. Outside was swampy. We ran along the Capital City bike path toward Cottage Grove, then down and up along Olbrich Park where we did 4 hill sprints, as my plan called for. They... sucked. Also never mind the duck-behind-a-tree potty break I had to take. After the hills it was a nice 2-mile cooldown back home. We passed a lady jogging in jeggings, which was pretty much amazing. Still feeling sorta sluggish post-Ragnar and post-everything-in-the-last-month, but it seems to be getting better. The shins are still a LITTLE wonky, but not as terrible as last year at this time post-Ragnar. Nothing else to report except HOORAY. Thanks for the company, D!
