      It did get warm that last hour though...didn't it? YOU rocked it!! Powered right up those hills all the way to the end of the pavement! You are so ready for Lake Placid. It's so fun now to look back on our progress over the last several months! From that little dip in the orchard to Las Sendas to Usery now to The End of the Pavement..... good times FO SHO!!!! Nice work!

      Thanks Taryn...Lisa likes the fig newtons so I thought I would give them another go in her honor....what the heck is that bread like stuff that they are made of...there needs to be more filling or something. Nasty!!! My sister is running the Hartford, Conn. marathon in October...will you be in RI then?

      You don't eat fig newtons because you like them sillies!! You eat them because they are a quick, easy way to get in a few calories. They usually sit well on a stomach in a long event. Work with me girls!!! ;>)

      I would love to have company on the long runs for sure....Carmen usually bikes along side and the topics of conversation can be most interesting. It would be fun....Iron Tier starts now!!!

    Still struggle coming off the bike to run...legs felt ok for 1st mile but second was tough. Now I am feeling trashed!!!

    Bike started out cold and legs felt heavy but loosened up pretty quickly. The Beeline felt forever but I felt stronger on the hills out towards McDowell.

    Plan 4 miles at 9:45's. 1-9:51..HR 149, 2-9:47..HR-130, 3-10:00..HR-142..there was an uphill here, 4-9:05..HR-147. I so need to work on my pacing. I can be lazy and lazy won't make me fast!!!
