I used my newer backpack instead of my old ratty college pack with the zipper that tends to bust open. It was much better and more comfortable even though it's bulkier.

I was determined to run and find the eponymous lake. There were houses all along the shore, but I did see water.

Did about a 0.6 mile warmup, then 3.1 miles. Time was 28:10, 9:05 pace. I'm not thrilled with that, but it's all about gauging progress, right? Not too hot but it was starting to get warm out.
