  1. RUN
    great 2.78 mi 00:27 09:41 pace

I broke up my walking with a 1-mile run and a 1.78-mile run. Total deployment mileage: 13.78 miles

  2. RUN
    good 2.75 mi 00:45 16:22 pace

I've decided to incorporate walking into my exercise routine. Walking counts for the 300-mile challenge I'm doing, so I figure it doesn't hurt to include it in my mileage. However, I'm only keepi... read more

    good 2.25 mi 00:24 10:37 pace

Deployment run #3. Total deployment mileage: 8.25 miles

Deployment run #2. Total deployment mileage: 6 miles.

  5. RUN
    good 2 mi 00:22 10:56 pace

First run of my deployment (after not running in 2 weeks). There's a 300 mile "challenge" here (meaning I just need to run 300 miles while I'm here--4 months), which I plan to partake in... read more

  7. RUN
    good 2 mi 00:22 10:52 pace

I'm not following any plan right now. I just felt like going for a run and had to do a short one to fit it in before an appointment I have.

  8. RUN
    good 2.06 mi 00:24 11:36 pace

First run after my 35-miler. I felt exponentially better running this than I did walking around in heels today!

  9. RUN
    great 35.01 mi 08:00 13:42 pace

This was an 8-hour timed race. I was the first place female, which was crazy! I never dreamed of that. I had a blast!!

Thanks. It actually went quicker than I thought it would. I just thought about it one hour at a time, though, and updated my "goal mileage" on where I was at the end of each hour.

  10. RUN
    great 2 mi 00:21 10:42 pace

First post-marathon run. I wasn't sore at all when I woke up today, so I decided to go for a run after work. It felt fine (which is very atypical for me for the first run after a marathon)

  11. RUN
    good 26.2 mi 05:25 12:23 pace

AF Marathon. First half was awesome, got tired, and the last 7 miles were very slow. However, I met my goal of finishing AND having fun. :)

Great job, Katrina! I was wondering how you did. Was this your first marathon?

Thanks, all. No, Rich, it was actually my 3rd (not counting 2 50ks). However, I'd been training for the SARNR Full and had to modify my training plan about 6 weeks out when I found out I'd be deployed for the SA one. I knew I couldn't reach the same level of fitness I wanted with 2 fewer months, but I just wanted to have fun with this one and finish. My other two fulls were 5:12 (first one, but in shape) and 5:45 (w/med issues), so I expected to be somwehere between those times.

  12. RUN
    good 2 mi 00:22 10:56 pace

Last run before my marathon, ahhhhhhhhh! I'm going to walk 2 miles tomorrow, though.

  13. RUN
    good 3.01 mi 00:35 11:35 pace

Good run, except for all of the mosquitoes!

  14. I'm still $164 from my fundraising goal for my marathon next week. I'm running for the Fisher House, which gives families of sick/injured military members a place to stay near their loved ones. D... read more

  15. RUN
    good 7.1 mi 01:21 11:24 pace

Last long run before my marathon next Saturday. I ran it faster than I should have, but I've vowed to do my last couple runs next week slower.

Good luck on the marathon! Just take it easy - you're tapering.

  16. RUN
    great 1.5 mi 00:13:35 09:03 pace

Run for my AF PT test. I was aiming for 14:00, but I did it a little quicker! ;)

  17. RUN
    great 5 mi 00:53 10:37 pace

5-Mile Whine Run. PR by almost 7 minutes (compared to same course last year)!

  18. RUN
    great 7.59 mi 01:29 11:42 pace

The was one of my best runs in a while. Not super fast, but I felt like I could have kept going a lot longer. I tried a new walk break technique. Instead of running for 3 or 4 mins and then walk... read more

Nice! Good thinking on breaking up the run with those walk breaks.
