Day # 5 of the Journey. Yesterday was a mental rest day. Physically I'm feeling Awesome & legs have never felt better. But my mind has been tired due to heat & route planning. Today was a lot of cross country & connecting up with the trans Canada Hwy.. When I arrived to the highway way the shoulder is so narrow I had to run in the centre of the 2 hwys which is like a trail run with dirt & thick grass. The temperature was hot, hot, hot but had a nice breeze but still hard on the body. Another 30 miles of running like this tomorrow then it is open & I'm able to run the miles I want each day. A visit at the end of my run along Hwy 102 by Canada's finest the Royal Canadian Mounted Police were called out after receiving numerous calls that a 9 year old little girl was running the highway with a Canadian Flag . lol All in all should be happy with all the work I went through to get out of the country.
