I went for my first ride this morning with the Trek Tri Meetup Group (http://www.meetup.com/Central-FL-Trek-Womens-Triathlon-Training-Group/). What a great group! The millage includes riding to the meetup location at David's World, to and around Lake Baldwin, and the ride home along Cady Way.
We did a fast lap around the lake, and I averaged 16.7 mph for 2.6 miles with an average cadence of 84 rpm. My max speed was 20.3 mph and max cadence of 106 rpm!
Splits:
2.85 miles @ 12.7 mph - Home to David's World.
7.65 miles @ 10.63 mph - David's World to and around Lake Baldwin.
2.6 miles @ 16.7 mph - Fast loop around Lake Baldwin
2.84 miles @ 13.5 mph - Finding my way back to the trail (got kinda lost lol)
5.47 miles @ 13.8 mph - home via Cady way trail.
I intended to turn this into a brick workout by running when I got home, but it was not meant to be. I'll post more details on my blog later along with my thoughts about the upcoming duathlon next Sunday.
