Not satisfied with my run this morning and full of energy, I decided to go for a quick fast ride around the block. I was averaging above 15 mph at the half way point, but the 2nd part of the loop was into the wind and my legs were getting tired--not to mention I have to deal with lots of traffic lights on this road. I am getting more comfortable riding on the road and controlling narrow roads. I did not once feel threatened or pressured by any cars to get out of the way. It felt great to be on my road bike again after riding on the crappy mountain bike yesterday.


Nice! Yeah, I'm still nrevous trying to ride on the road. We mostly do the sidewalks, but have tried a few roads in the neighborhood. Maybe eventually we'll work up to it... :)

Yeah, it takes some getting use to and it is easier in groups :) You'll get there.
