      Christina -- if only I knew! it has been diagnosed as 3 different things so far but seems to be basically "plantar fasciitis plus." The most recent theory is that the actual injury is to the padding of my heel and everything else just spiraled out from there...

    Quick but good session with 5 routes: 5.7 warmup, 5.10b, 5.10a, 5.10c that I maybe got halfway up, 5.10c that I finished -- my first 10c of this particular return to climbing!

    One great thing about being short is being able to pool-run in 5 feet of water. Made it 30 mins before deferring to the couple who clearly wanted me to go so they could start making out.

      Haha, I was guilty of the same thing recently when I posted on FB that my SF1HM time was my "personal worst". A friend from grad school commented that my finish time was still better than his PR. A good reminder that it's all relative.

      This conversation reminds me of when a friend saw Kara Goucher at a running store talk and someone asked how she fuels for marathons. Welllll, that person was thinking of a five-hour run, but Kara's marathon time is less than 2.5 hours and she has her own bottles waiting for her on the course. She didn't know how to answer. Yep, it's all relative!

      Hey, I just started playing with flip turns too. Don't they feel awkward until you get one or two that just *click* and you're like YESSS, until the next wall which sucks again. Or maybe it's just me. Hopefully soon they'll feel natural for both of us. :)
