    Snuck a quick run in, then hopped on an eliptical for a few miles. Felt ok, but can still feel something in my lungs from being sick this past week. Once that is gone, running will be easy again..

      It basically monitors your overall activity during the day. The band starts with red led lights and the more you move during the day, the quicker the lights will change to green. I guess I need something to get me going when I don't want to get going. My wife got hers yesterday and likes it a lot.

      What was the weather? I was in Iraq two years ago on the hollidays (weird idea, and when Marden in Turkey was attacked in 2010 I was really close) And I can`t running in those weather circumstances there.

  7. I little busier than expected here today and did not make it to the gym. I really wanted to test out my new earphones I got, the Ironman Yurbuds. Maybe tomorrow if things calm down..

      Thanks. Some days I enjoy getting on the ol' treadmill, other days I have to reach deep down inside and find that motivation to add yet another thing to do on an already super busy day.

    Wish I had picked up the pace a little. I know I could have made at least 7 miles in that hour. Felt great after a day off.

      I imagine with the air, dust and high temperatures (when there are high temperatures) being as they are over there that it makes it even more difficult to be able to try and recycle workout clothes. Hope you had a good day off and good luck with the running tomorrow.

      After a while, everyone smells the same.. :) The air is horrible here, especially during the really cold days of winter. The locals will burn anything that can burn to try to stay warm. There were nights that when I walked outside to go to the bathrooms, I could not take a full breath of air. The air was really thick with the smell and taste of burning plastic.

    Was a little tough today. I was able to jump right on the treadmill without waiting for one to open up, but the hour seemed to last forever.

      Some days are like that. I try different techniques to make it less boring. Speed it up for a minute go back down, change the incline. Is there a tv or something to watch while you run? What is the temp. there today. We had a whopping 55 in Wisconsin so it was nice for running outside. Have a nice day off.

      No laughing here. I've got everything from dance/techno, to alternative, blues, rock, pop, rap and yes, show tunes on my playlist. Will have to look up that group - have you listened to the Tron soundtrack? That's got a pretty strong beat, though not necessarily fast.

      The song I really like is one that was offered by Nike Plus a few years back. It is Nike+ Original Run (Continuous Mix) by the Crystal method. It lasts about 45 min, starts out slow with a nice beat to run to, then it picks up the pace until you get near the end when it slows down gradually for the cool down.

    Air was crappy. Not used to the thin air in Kabul yet. Really need some sort of facemask to block the stuff in the air from filling my lungs.
