    First time running in two months. No reason why I stopped other than I lacked all desire or motivation to run. I am hoping today's run was the first step of getting out of my summer funk.

      Not bad doing 6 miles after 2 months of no running! I had a similar break and only managed a 5k on my first run back.

    Planned 20 but cut it short at 16.5. Hammy was tight but I am OK. Decent run all in all. Got to run with 3 others crazies! So it was all good!

      Sounds like a terrible experience but your mental endurance evidently kept things together and you got it done - not many can make that claim for a marathon.

    27 degrees F is a challenging temp to figure out what to wear. I got overheated, too many layers. Good run none the less.

      you just need to hire a Sherpa type of guy to run with you and carry your layers for you, so you can easily shed them as you warm up. ;)
