Some calf tightness, but otherwise loved this run. Half trails/half forest roadway.

RUN
great 3 mi 00:32 10:39 pace
Managed to finish my longest trail run yet (with bonus hills!) just seconds before (yet another) HUGE downpour. Some calf tightness halfway through, but overall I felt pretty awesome.

RUN
great 2 mi
First day back on my favorite trails after WEEKS of steady rain. I was a muddy mess by the end of a mellow out and back. But a very happy one.

RUN
good Yay! Serotonin 3.8 mi 00:55 14:28 pace
Today was one of those days where I was sure the universe was out to annoy me. Walking/running with my sidewinding pug (Iggy!) and my BFF (Cayly!) was just what I needed. As a bonus the evening dec... read more

RUN
blah Sunday Morning Run 2.1 mi 00:27 12:51 pace
Still rocking the C25K iPhone app. For whatever reason, this run sort of sucked. But whatever, I did it, and two days in a row of getting out and hitting the pavement felt awesome.
Day 5/90.

RUN
alright C25K, Week Two, Day Three 2.1 mi 00:28 13:19 pace
Week two, day three of C25K. I didn't get up early enough to start this run, so it was a little too warm for me by the end of it, and my calves weren't feeling all that awesome. Note to s... read more

Thanks! for the encouragement C, but I totally want to try my hand at a 10K before I delve into a half. I have my sights on The Great Columbia Crossing in Astoria in October. But the second I sign up for a half I'm calling you so you can run it with me! : )

good Squat/Lunge/Push-Up Circuit
I tried this workout two days in a row to see if it would minimize soreness. So far, so good!

good Squat/Lunge/Push-Up Circuit (... 00:30
I did this workout on my lunch break to save time, and to wake myself up because sitting at a desk all day is ridiculously boring for my (brain, and) body.

good Sunday Walkabout 3 mi 01:00 20:00 pace
Took a walk around the neighborhood in the rain. Because if I refused to hang out in the rain I might never leave the house. Or so says this June in Portland. Good thing I happen to enjoy perpetual... read more

Good that you aren't letting the weather keep you inside! Around here it's so hot and humid it's tempting to stay in, but I am trying to adjust.

good Saturday Morning Run 1.8 mi 00:28 15:33 pace
C25K, Week Two, Day Two. Felt awesome to get back outside after a super busy week. The running/walking combination felt good, too, except for some tightness in my ankles. I'm excited to get ba... read more

good Tri-Cities Treadmill 2 mi 00:31 15:30 pace
I'm traveling for work and so logged today's C25K training via a treadmill in the very sparse "fitness center" at my hotel. Definitely not the same as being out on the road/trai... read more

alright Deer Lake Run, Take Two 2.3 mi 00:31 13:28 pace
Using the C25K app, though I ran my five-minute warm-up today vs. walking it. My lungs are definitely feeling it, though that is definitely the point. Overall, I feel good, and while I'm a fan... read more

Nice work. I think unless you're prone to injury, C25K can be too conservative. Running four or even five days a week ought to be doable as long as you don't overdo your overall distance. And if three doesn't feel like enough, that probably means you can do more. Do what feels right!

RUN
good Deer Lake Run 2.5 mi 00:35 14:00 pace
Up at the lake for Memorial Weekend; took my momma for a leisurely pace on some of the back roads around the lake. Out and back in about 35 minutes.

RUN
good Spokane Run 3 mi 00:45 15:00 pace
First time I've been able to run without foot pain in YEARS. Dear Nike Free, I love you. Up at 6:30am, out the door at 7:15am, back at 8:00am. Took it super slow, but felt awesome.
I love that feeling -- when you just run the funk out, as I call it. It's nature's anti-depressant!
