great Fast Family Times at Little Rock Marathon & 10K 6.38 mi 00:56 08:44 pace

What a great weekend!!!! 17 of my family members traveled to Little Rock, Arkansas to run the marathon and 10k. We were all successful in goals. Karl, who was with our group (but not blood family) took 3rd place overall for the half marathon. 3 cousins did the full marathon with Brad finishing 20th overall, posting a 2:53, Kurt, finished in 3:25 for his first full, and Andy hit a sub 4 at 3:56. On the 10K side, my oldest boy took 11th overall and my youngest took 20th overall in a field of 933. Brandon (oldest son) also, took 2nd in his age group, while Casey placed 5th. They had a brotherly competition and most of us thought Casey would win. So for Brandon to win was icing on the cake! For the girls, Rachel and I both took 4th in our age group. I am pleased with my own results. Garmin had marked the course at 6.37 miles, so per the official time of 55:53 I did not hit my PR of 55:04, but if Garmin is correct, I ran a tad longer course. So whose to say which count is accurate. Either way I am happy with my performance. We had such a good time with all the family there. Hated to leave. Hope everyone has a great week coming up!!!!! Oh, also got to meet Bart Yasso!!!! That was totally cool! Nice guy!!!

Well CRAP!!!! Wish I would have known you were there! Were you a pacer or do were you a participant? EVERYONE we spoke to who had GPS said the course was long. Some FM'ers said they were tracked running 26.5. Crazy! In my mind, I have myself convinced I PR'd even though I cant technically back it up. Guess I'll have to do another:) DARN!!
