Was the Camino crowded? I'm thinking of doing it, but maybe via the Northern way (San Sebastian and Bilbao) due to my dislike of crowds. I've also given some thought to St. Cuthbert's Way.

It was quite busy, especially the closer we got to Santiago. I've heard the Portugal route is nice, less busy, but still well supported. Apparently the Northern route of the French Way is much more rustic. But you may like that. Lots of good info on this forum. https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/

  7. walk
    great 5.2 km 01:10 21:39 pace

Found a way to extend our favourite walk by a few hundred metres more. Got a full 5km and a bit. Muggy, warm, overcast.

  8. walk
    great 4.8 km 01:05 21:47 pace

Another great walk with Jaffa - managed to avoid the rain.

  9. walk
    great 2.2 km 00:45

Another walk around town. Made a few stops along the way.

  10. walk
    great 2.3 km 00:35 24:29 pace

Walk around town because rain made the fields muddy.

  11. walk
    great 4.8 km 01:14 24:48 pace

Our favourite loop, extended slightly. Erik really wants to run this loop some day. Hot and sunny.

  12. walk
    great 5.7 km 01:20 22:35 pace

Did a 4.1 km walk in the morning, then walked to the pub in town in the afternoon.

  13. walk
    great 4.25 km 01:20 30:17 pace

Two walks today. One nearby with Jaffa, and another 1.5 km in Petham.

  14. walk
    great 4.2 km 01:02 23:45 pace

Took Jaffa out for a walk. Found a nice fairly level trail through the woods that would be nice for running - a 2km loop with a 2km to and from.

  15. walk
    great 3.25 km 00:55 27:14 pace

Took Jaffa for a walk and stopped at the churchyard to look for family graves. Most of the stones are too worn to read.

  16. walk
    great 2 km 00:40

Walking around Canterbury, mostly looking at used book stores.

  17. walk
    great 2.5 km 01:00

Walking along the White Cliffs of Dover.

  18. walk
    great 3.6 km 00:50 22:21 pace

Took a bit of a different route today. All the sheep were gone from one field and we can't figure out there they went. Have to look at the aerial map to see if we can figure it out.

  19. walk
    great 4 km 01:30

Walking all over Canterbury. Time and distance approximate.

  20. walk
    great 3.25 km 00:46 22:46 pace

Another day, another walk with Jaffa. A bitt shorter out and back today.
