You can if you keep training....easy/recovery in the winter and up tempo a couple of times a week during the Spring and Summer. Once you stop, it's all over.

I've had to take a mental break from ultra racing the last few years. It started to not be any fun. I'm having fun with running again. Hopefully that continues! I totally agree, gotta keep the momentum going.

Same here, Kelly. After having a spell of vertigo yet again at Hardrock, I'm not running any more 100's, never really enjoyed them anyway. Hoping to run a sub 3:30 marathon this year at 60. New goals keeps things interesting!
