Gas Networks 5K Race (Marina Cork) 5 km 00:20 06:19 pace

5K local race, 500+ runners on a windy & wet morning here but the weather cleared for the race, felt good for this though and no holding back was the mental plan, mile 1 was @ 6.17 pace, hard going these days for me, I tried to latch onto an elite Masters lady here (Carmel P) but she left me in her wake at mile 2, kept working hard though and miles 2 and 3 were very steady but hard at sub 6.30 pace, gave the last bit a hard push and semi sprint and finished at 19.39, 20 seconds faster required for a definitive PB and I will turn this tide eventually.
