Difficult mental challenge for me to get out there today (due to real life family issues), but headed out anyway, weather ok , soft rain but windy. Plan was 8.10/15 pace and got it done, nothing major to report , just a long run at medium effort. Based on past efforts on this route I am definitely stronger this year at the 20 mile+ stage , the question is if I am a half minute stronger per mile over the distance, debateable in my mind today anyway. Let's see what the week ahead holds.

    Hope all is well with the family. You should fell good that you were able to finish your long run with not being with it mentally. Long runs are tough enough on there own and don't need any help to make them harder.

    Tough to judge race pacing from these long runs - best you can do is hit your goals and trust in the training. Nice job making time and executing this one.
