RUN
good Dreadmill 1.53 mi
Hate this machine. So boring even for such a short distance. But I feel obligated to use this membership since I'm paying for it instead of enjoying the cold outdoors.

RUN
good Back from the Dead 3.24 mi
Combination run/walk but felt good. Is there any good reason I can't do at least this much 3 times a week? No.

RUN
good Dreadmill-My return to running? 1.1 mi 00:14:00 12:43 pace
Can't remember the last time I ran, and this is the first time on a treadmill in about 5 years. If I can just do this 5 times a week, that would be swell.

VELO
good Going nowhere. 3.33 mi 00:11:08 17.9mph pace
I've had this gym membership for months and have only been here 3 times. Hit the bike for a short bit just to remind my body it can move, then to the dreadmill for a short run.

It's been a long time, so just a short re-initiation into what running feels like. Everything felt good. Ran in the rain, with thunder and lightning, on trails mostly. Encountered a flock of 7 wild... read more

Ran the short distance from downtown to the auto shop to pick up my car. Believe it or not, no rain.

RUN
alright Muddy Trails 2.05 mi
Rum Village again. Sloppy and fun. Nearly collided with a deer again. They should really not be so blendy with the trees and stuff. Wish they would wear bright orange stocking hats or something.
-
They ussually wear hats unless they are hunting runners!! Nice job on the run!!

Now, forest animals dressed in bright orange attire would make a run more interesting for sure. Might also make one question his sanity a bit, but definitely easier to spot.

Actually, they were inspiring. There were three of them. After the encounter, I imagined I was a deer leaping down the path and over fallen trees. And then I saw a dude in an orange hat and ran like HELLLLL!

RUN
good Rum Village Trails 3.15 mi
Did not seem like 3 miles. Seemed like less. Challenging but fun. Don't know if I'll be ready for a half marathon on the road by running a few miles on trails once in a while, but oh well.

RUN
good Trails, Rum Village Park 2.1 mi
Late, right before sunset. Encountered a pair of deer along the way, stopped to stare at each other from 15 feet away for a few moments.

All I had time for this afternoon. And it was snowing and cold once again. Why couldn't I get motivated and out the door the other day when it was 55* outside?

Great job on getting out there! If you want I can send you some inspirational trash talk! Would that help? ;-)
