    Before you dig on me for the neophytic closed-face reel... this is my backpacking rig and open-face spinner reels just don't survive well jammed into a bag with a bunch of other stuff. It's a light-duty reel with 4lb test line attached to a telescoping pole with very light action. Should do great for panfish, small bass and other tasty treats while hiking, backpacking and on bicycle touring adventures.
