http://www.bikecommuters.com/2009/12/03/you-know-its-winter-when/ - Some of my advice for continuing to ride (specifically, bike commute) as the temperatures drop. Most of my advice carries over to other realms of training, too. It's worth a shot if yo... read more

Since I switched over to my winter beater (which has no odometer right now), I have no idea how fast I'm going or how many miles I'm riding. I'm taking the bike to the bus more, which is about 6 miles per day.

I almost deleted this one, too, as it looked really bad on my phone's tiny screen. At this resolution, I kind of like it. Much bigger, and it looks crappy again. There's a runner ahead of me if you look to the horizon. He was probably pulling a solid 6:30 or faster.

That would be so great to ride to work!Glad you had a good one!
3 months agoThe best thing I ever did for myself was move within cycling distance (about an hour each way, great for cardio) to work. I have a few transit options as well, so I can get to work without sweating, ride a short distance to the bus all winter, and things like that. Almost all of my miles are for transportation.
