Figured out a new (to me!) key to learning to like running - and learning to meet goals: Pacing. I went puppy-less today to try and troubleshoot why it is I feel so yuck so quickly, and realized I must be trying to run just way too fast. I ran slow today and was able to cover more ground running than usual -- and my time is even a better time than when I was basically sprinting and walking. Still need to work on the asthma issue a bit, but I feel pretty good!


I still struggle with trying to hold myself back at the beginning of the run so that I can meet my time and distance goals. It's a hard thing to grasp, so good for you embracing a steady, more manageable pace!
