  4. walk
great Duke East Campus 3.4 mi 01:00 17:38 pace

Met up with a friend and we and my dog walked the loop twice. She walks a tad bit faster than I do, so it's nice to push myself and get a bit sweaty.

  5. RUN
    good JMT - jog/walk 1.87 mi 00:33 17:38 pace

So many fallen leaves on the trails that I feel like I need cleats!

  6. RUN
    alright Jog/Walk on TF 2.2 mi 00:35 15:54 pace

Gah, this felt impossibly hard. The first part is uphill, and it got sunny all of a sudden while I was out. I've been walking a lot lately, but not doing any cardio work, and it really shows... read more

  7. RUN
    good Jog/walk on JMT 1.8 mi 00:30 16:40 pace

Good, love being on the trail.

  8. walk
great downtown Durham 3.5 mi 02:00

I walked in the Pride Parade, so the pace is a crawl. But a mile is a mile is a mile! Especially because we were dancing most of the time.

  9. walk
    good JMT trail 1.2 mi

Got to walk with @annem12, yay.

  10. walk
good Turkey Farm 1.1 mi 00:30 27:16 pace

Wet, wet, wet. Trail completely covered in green moss and rainy dead leaves = DangerWalking!

  11. Ok. I haven't been posting any walks here in eons, but it feels freakin' great to realize I need to update my profile by knocking another 8 lbs off my weight. Even if it means I burn few... read more

  12. walk
good Turkey Farm 1.1 mi 00:25 22:43 pace

Just walking the dog. When my phone has no data signal, the GPS completely freaks out, so it swears that I actually walked 3,200 miles.

  13. walk
    dog walking 1 mi

Didn't track the pace or anything, just a nice mellow dog walk. Saw my doctor this week, and she requested that I focus on shorter, less strenuous and more frequent exercise. So, frustrating... read more

sometimes an extended break is just what your body needs. I know it will be difficult, but the time will fly by. Hang in there.

I have been a coach for over 20 years. Most doctors tell my athletes to quit when anything goes wrong. Usually the body just needs a change or something needs to be fixed from a running stand point that a doctor will never figure out. Often it is a weakness or aspect of training that we leave out that needs to be fixed.

Hey heather... Walking _is_ exercise and activity. Don't discount how much walking an hour a day can benefit you.
