The struggle is real...things are good. I am a no news or politics diet and couldn't be happier. I wanted to try to train for triathlon but I think a half is more doable. Are you interested in training for the Lincoln half? We could hobble along together and discuss diabetic remission in felines. Nero is now a diabetic. I give him insulin twice daily. Mona is now the superior cat in the house. Jack is perfect as ever. And the kids keep me on my feet, literally. How things in MO?

Things are good. Defend my dissertation proposal today & ready to get started working on it. Also means I'm on the job market, so it's an interesting and hectic time. The running seems to lose among the demands of mom/PhD/work. That being said, I'd love to do a race together! I'll put some serious thought into it. Sorry to hear about Nero. For some cats, diabetes can be controlled through diet and other changes (like humans) but for some the insulin is a necessary & long term therapy. How is he feeling?

Congratulations!!! That is great news. You will be a hot commodity on the market. What was the title? Nero had his first glucose run a month since being diagnosed. He gets 1 cc twice a day. His blood glucose at his lowest was 570! Now I am to give him 2 cc twice. And we will go back in a month. He drinks a ton and pees so much. I found an article that said cats do well on the insulin we are giving him. Fingers crossed this works. No pressure on the race. Life makes many demands of us all.

Chocolate is the fuel of champions. I've been whipping up batches and fueling with a lot of no-bake cookies these days.
