      Not sure what's going on with my quads. It happened for the first time running Thur am and then twice today during the run. Never before felt this. hmmmm...chiropractor here I come.

      Awesome run Katie! and if the quads are a cramping thing I find that it happens when you stress out the mussel and it will get better with time. The other thing is a little coconut water before or during can help too.

      Great run Katie, another thought is salt or endorolytes. Yes I know its old school but during the summer the replenishing fluids don't work enough for me. Learned to use these at the Pineland 50k a few years back. Good luck.

      In case anyone is looking for a challenging trail race the first weekend of August you should check out the Ragged Mt Run Around in Camden Maine. It's being held at the ski mt, The Snowbowl and there's a 4 or 9 mi to choose from. It's going to be a great race put on by some really cool friends!

    So Happy my pace is increasing!! It was a very nice, warm morning for a bike ride. I would so much rather ride my bike than run in this weather. Looking forward to a 6 mi trail race tomorrow.

      And then the run was followed by one long day of work. Lots of fish to lug...6 pallets worth! 600lbs Scallops, 200lbs Haddock, 360lbs Salmon and the list goes on. Finally got out of there at 7:30 only to have my car battery die after working 1/2hr to get my 2 yr old into his seat! I'm feeling great still:)

      Wow! Great job! Your race started an hour later - so you had far warmer temps too. Not sure about running on those roads in Lewiston though. You are tough for doing that.
