well its over now, so parts of the run i was smiling and moving, other parts i was mentally beating myself up! wish my miles were faster and i wish i had my favorite running buddy with me(tammi). I feel like Im in a runners rut. 2 weeks til Philly i need to snap out of this funk. i plan to run every day this week!

That pace is nothing to scoff at!!! Please don't run every day... it probably won't get you out of your rut, but instead lead you further into runner's slump... and maybe even overuse injury. You need rest and fun!

Kate, don't beat yourself up over some nice running. Every run isn't about speed, right? Maura has it right. Don't run every day, it's unlikely that will serve you well and could actually be counterproductive. You're doing much better than you think! Hang in there.

I agree with Maura, please consider taking a rest or cross-training day in there. I'm envious of your great pace today - hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I agree with Maura and Sarah...if you feel like you're in a bit of a rut, try taking a few days off running and do something else. Let your legs rest up so they are ready to bust it out in Philly :)

Your pace was great!!!! I wish I had you at my side Saturday :(... I can't focus on my run and pace with chatty Cathy's like I had (albeit very nice Cathy's!) and truly felt my pace would have been better had you been there, BUT you still had a great run today!!!

P.S. DO NOT run everyday... You know as well as I do that you run the risk of further injury. Keep those legs fresh woman... We will open up the throttle on the 19th in Philly

Don't be so hard on yourself. You'll break out of the slump. Remember how much you love to run and focus on that. The other things will fall into place once you take the pressure off. Here's a smile to help you out [HUGE grin]
