good Boulder Canyon and more good times! 5 mi 00:47 09:22 pace

Today was with David for his "easy" miles before GTIS. But they were not so easy for me! I am certain that if you added up all the feet of elevation gain for my last several months of running back in Texas they would still fall short of what was gained today. I was really pushing myself to not throw in the towel that first mile. And had it not been that Dave was running next to me, I would have.

Oh to live here!! I would be such a stronger runner :-)

All the other runs here have been so great, too! Mountains, creeks, wildlife, cool temps - I couldn't ask for better conditions. And I am running with both Meg and Dave on various days. All factors have been such an incredible treat.

But by far, the running highlight for me was the Evergreen 5K last Sunday. A new PR!!! http://connect.garmin.com/activity/105412614
mile 1: 7:58
mile 2: 7:39
mile 3: 7:32
I know it was mostly one big descent, but I was at altitude and my lungs were screaming. So I am hoping it still counts as a legit PR and a new fastest mile for me :-)

So so so very very very glad to be here! And looking forward to seeing more DM folks after Saturday's GTIS!

Sweet PR on Sunday! And, yes, it most definitely counts. Just move to CO already, would you? :-) It was good to see you on Sunday, and I look forward to seeing you all again in a few days. Thank Rob for the awesome pictures. Maybe the best race photos of me ever, and without a doubt the best FREE ones ever :-)
