Maybe not as nice as Boulder, but still a day running is a good day! Remember the frustration when your foot wouldn't let you run. Good luck with your CO aspirations.

fingers and toes crossed (like a few others)- you clearly need to get yourself back there. good work today. good things coming your way I'm sure.

Fun stuff Jo! Greatly enjoyed myself... you looked spry and able hopping up that trail today... your legs were up for the challenge. And with that altitude adjustment, your flatlander runs back in Tejas will be easy peasy.

I hope this just means you'll be back for good. I'm sorry I missed seeing you this weekend and hope you had a great b-day!!

Let's hope your imminent departure from Colorado is just a temporary one... Hopefully your running time at altitude will just make you that much stronger on your pancake flat neighborhood runs in TX!!

Wow, that's fantastic Jo! Great idea too, the end of your 5k flattens out a bit (not so downhill) so practicing a negative split gives you strength when you need it! You should enjoy a dryer cooler climate too...see you this week!

Great stuff, Jo!! Should be a great confidence boost for the Evergreen race (which is on Sunday, not Saturday, I think). It will be fun to see you all there :-)

@Jon- oh yes, you are correct; I was getting ahead of myself. The 5K race is Sunday and the kids triathlon is Saturday. It will be a busy (but super fun) weekend!

A great sign about the progress you are making! Maybe go out at 8 minute pace, see if you can hang on and if feeling strong, finish fast for a sub 8 5k?!

My evolution as a runner went the opposite direction-- when I first started I went to the running store and they told me I needed to learn to land on my heel to benefit from the heal to toe transition, that this would give me a better "ride"! So now I can be jealous of you that your natural runnIng style means you get a free ride!
