The obstacles were manageable for me except at the very end we had to climb a wooden ladder and then slide into a pool of icy water. I have always had a fear of ladders and the spacing between was pretty far - for someone like me without upper body strength (yet another push to start working on that!) it was scary. Someone helped hoist me up at the end (God bless them) because my brain and body froze up with fear that I would fall off the ladder.

agreed! I made it to mile 1 with only one flag taken. Then I got to the middle of mile 2 and I ran into two of them and they both took my flags : ( So I spent the rest of the race setting picks for people with flags. That made me feel a little better.

Yeah I did the race alone but I made some brief alliances along the way and I would run in and distract them while they got by once my flags were gone.. I was pretending to protect a flag behind me ;)
