I took things really slow this morning. First day to run since Saturday and I thought my ankle was completely ready. After about 25 min., I had to consider backing off and calling it a complete workout. At this point, I am not sure what to do. It does not swell, but any move other than straight ahead and it hurts. Any ideas? I am starting to wonder if it's my new shoes.


Sounds like you are having the same problems I've been having, although straight ahead or turning mine was irritated. Mine has eventually started to feel better without much intervention but it's taken a couple months. I was able to keep running on it so hopefully you can too. Burke suggested ice and elevation after runs so maybe you could try that. Hope it gets better soon!

Thanks Carrie. I talked with our school nurse today and she suggested wrapping it when I run. I think Burke has good suggestions too - At this point I am desperate for something to make it feel better. It seems like a good rest has been helpful and I think we are in for more rest. Travis went to the dr. and he has the flu. So we are all about to rest hard around here.
