Finally took my shoes on a road test. There may be a bit of friction by my big toe. I'll have to test it again.

It was a nice run. Started drizzling/light rain about 3 minutes into the run. I was glad I'd put in my contacts, so it was a nice, relaxing change of pace. :)

    before you give up on them, could a change of socks help solve the problem of friction? Glad you were able to get out for a test run even if it did start running. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

    Great pace! I agree with Joy R. Try some other socks and maybe some body glide too.

    Hopefully you get it figured out. Wright Running socks (from the UK I think) can do wonders. They're sewn with two layers that prevent blisters. Most running specialty stores I know of carry them.
