Great time on a tough day Joon! My buddy ended up with hyponatremia and spent the night at the hospital, he's a sub 3 marathoner and finished in 3:48. I just had to keep slowing down to keep the heart rate under control. You could kill Eugene or Tacoma in a few weeks:)

Yea, it was tough. I survived by taking 3-4 cups of water at each water stop and dumping them on my head. And grabbing as much water between the stops. I was soaking wet from head to shoe almost the entire race. That was the only thing that kept me going. But now, I think another marathon anytime soon will mostly likely kill me no matter how slow I go.

Checking out the hills in Newton. Went at a comfortable pace. Hills aren't steep or long and long gradual downhills between the hills make them very manageable.

I'm flying out Friday morning. An extra day to try to get ready to wake up at 3am PDT. And I'm going to try to do a run over the Newton hills on Saturday so I'll have a better idea of what to expect.

Oh actually I guess I am in corral 3 my number is 2507 and I used a 2:58:46 time I think it was from Tulsa last November. I don't think I can move up at this point. That's okay, if I can start out a little slower it will probably be best.
