  1. "Start barefoot, but remember to carry your shoes with you. Consider them your new handweights!" I will never forget this again

  2. RUN
    injured 1 mi

1 mile, barefoot, hot texas asphalt = stupid. That's the last time I do that for a while. I'm fairly certain that blister on my right foot is a burn rather than terrain.

I just read that book too! You'll heal up soon. Maybe smaller distances in the future ... and of course take your hand weights.

First 5k with the KSOs (first time to do 3m with them). I was a little slower at the finish than expected. The uphill last mile robbed me of a good kick, and I felt my calves (still do) at about... read more

  5. Got my VFF KSOs on Friday, been getting used to them around the house. Just about ready for a run with them.

Right on! Just remember, don't push how much you do at first. Those things will make you feel invincible, but chances are you're not. I wasn't! :)

Understood. And thanks! I'll let you know how it goes. It took me forever to find an e-retailer that had my size... I am excited though.

Yeah, they're tough to find these days. A good problem to have for Vibram, I guess, but one they gotta tackle if they're gonna keep growing!

  7. I'm very proud of my 7yr old, Meagan. She ran the 1m Race for the Cure on Saturday, and did it in under 10min. During the end, I told her, "Go fast, don't let that boy beat you"... read more

  8. RUN
    good 3.1 mi 00:30 09:45 pace

Fort Worth RACE FOR THE CURE. Forgot how many hills there are downtown. Didn't hit my goal time, but I enjoyed the run and the event.

  16. RUN
    good 4.3 mi 00:43 10:02 pace

Finally back at it after a little break, or should I say torture away. Seems like I should know better, when stressed GO RUNNING, don't STOP RUNNING.

Tried to run Alexandria, VA with Laron, but his knee gave way after 340 ft. Bummer, I hit the dreadmill for a mile.
