We started off the spring training season with a run with 12 degree temps and a strong wind from the north. It actually wasn't too bad, weather-wise. The sun was shinning and it was nice to get the wind out of the way at the beginning.
We had a smaller group today -- just five of us. We split into two groups, two people with me and one person with the other pacer. Nice group of people, with good conversation.
I feel bad though, because I was trying to stay conservative with the pace because of all of the ice and snow. We also hit the stoplights which cost us a bit of time (Garmin said moving pace was 12:45). But I erred on the slow side too much I think. I asked people how the pace was during the run and everyone said good, but afterwards people said they wouldn't have minded going faster. I'll stick better to 12:30's next week for sure.

Yeah, with less snow, you'll go faster - and I'm sure they loved the experience today anyway. Good run, pal!

Good job! And I think it's always better to start off conservative on the first few runs - you don't want to scare any newbies off!
