    Track workout: 5 * 800 3.7 mi 00:37 09:55 pace

Finally, a track workout that wasn't miserable! For "warm-up" (I use that term loosely), we ran up and over Cricket Hill several times (most people did 10 times, but I did eight). ... read more

It WAS fancy and neat! A lot of what Fitz told me about form I had heard from him before, but this was extremely helpful for visualizing things differently and seeing exactly how I need to work on things. Cool stuff.

Perfect weather for a run! I helped pace the 11:30s for the second half of their 18 miler. Jenn wanted to get in a couple extra miles to make it a 20 for her, so I joined her for that as well. F... read more

So cool that you're stepping in for the long distances. It is odd not to have the same goals as the participants, the community of training makes it so much more fun.

good neighborhood run 3.6 mi 00:40 11:06 pace

This felt good! Not that I ever forgot, but I feel like I'm remembering how to run again. I have a small blister that annoyed me a bit, but other than that, a very pleasant run.

Okay enough run through the neighborhood. Felt a little achy in places, but for the most part felt fine. Great running weather!

I don't normally do morning runs, but I'd slacked on my workouts earlier this week and I knew I was busy tonight. :) I'm training for the Des Plains River Trail Half Marathon in October. And the Big Shoulders swim this Saturday.
