Very nice run this morning. It was even a little warm out. I'm working from home today, so I didn't have to head out until 7:30am.

I was working from home five days a week and getting a run in was easy. However since the end of July I have been stuck at the client site. Hopefully I will have those days at home again. Nice run by the way!

Warm temps, steady rain, rolling thunder, and occasional lightning made this the most fun run of the year.

Don't let some tough runs keep you from giving it another try. That said, listen to your body first and foremost.

Yikes. Lots of walking on this after 3 miles in. Too hot/humid? Not enough fuel? Too big of a wimp? All of the above? Well, I am, eager to do it again!

I prefer runs that are pushed too. I wish I knew how to let go a bit more and take it easy but I don't want to feel slow. And feeling great after is the key to it all!

    great Repeats

I'm dipped my toes into 400 meter repeats this morning. Just 5x400 to get a feel for it, and I definitely want to incorporate this into a regular day of training each week.

Love those repeaters! I've fallen off the speedwork wagon since my last half early this month. Need to get back at it!

I'm certainly no pro but most of the plans I have say start with 5 and move up to 8-10. Adding one a session. I've become a fan of the 1600s since my last training program incorporated those instead of 400s. I didn't think I'd like going that hard for that long but I do believe that above all that made me faster for my halfs this year. Course those you start at 2 and go up to 5 (tho I've never gotten past 4!). Now I'll have to do more 400s if I want to get my 5k times down too.

Nice to find one you like. I have the best routes around my house. It's always my goal to stay off sidewalks and be in the street without causing problems. I can get up to about 7 without having to go on a sidewalk for more than 10 feet. Love that.

It's funny. That is what I had read since I started running in 07. And they feel softer to me as well, even though the most recent study I came across in RW said there isn't a difference. I've learned that some things that are in my head are just fine staying in there. :)
