Woo. As in, it's hot and I am beat. Not, woo, like "Woohoo!"
Now I have to stop sweating before Theology Pub tonight.
To become the best runner I can, to be in the best shape of my life by the time I'm 38, and to eventually become a marathoner.

90 degrees and humid. Holy cow. This one beat me up. Still glad I got it in.
I started running the hill at Johnson's Mound yesterday. It's a pretty intense hill, and I need this to mix up my training. I only ran the .8 mile route three time, and felt pretty good. At least the first time. The second lap was harder, and the third... read more
I thought I was heading out in 91 degrees and sunny, but by the time I got out there it was 88 and overcast. It made a difference! It was hot and humid, but I felt strong and in control. I didn't push my pace, but it turned out to be pretty quick for m... read more
That is quick! Way to go Pastor Speedy!
24 days agoYikes. That was a hot, windy run. Slowed me down a bit. But this was the only time I had to squeeze it in. Dropped off the kids at Tae Kwon Do and hit the road. An annoying run - half of it was on the grass.
Had a great run this afternoon! Though about half way through I felt a creeping pain in my left arm and started to wonder if I was going to have a heart attack or something. Then I figured out it was just sore from holding our newborn. Dork. :\

about 1 month agoYeah, it was funny. I didn't really think it was an issue, but was confused for a while. :)
about 1 month agoThat is a great story. Good job getting out and running.
30 days agoReally nice run this afternoon, especially after being off the roads for a few days. Been a little busy at home-- Jen gave birth to baby #4! You can check out little Kilian Atticus here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/joethorn/sets/72157624243123193/

about 1 month agoCongratulations on the run and the newborn!
about 1 month agoThanks, guys!
about 1 month agoFive miles this morning. The first half turned out to be harder than the second half, but overall it was great run. Last night I dreamt that I was running. Maybe that made me a little tired? ;) I wouldn't care if dream running actually burned calories.
8 Miles this morning. Felt really good throughout, though around mile 5 I had a little cramping. Was able to run through it.
Look at those miles!
