18.8mph pace
Took Dominique out for a 20-mile bike ride through the Parmer Lane hills this morning. 561 feet of climbing - legs felt strong after yesterday's 12-Miler.
Averaged just under 19 mph on the ride reaching 29.6 mph max. Was a lot of fun until the rain came at mile 18. Note to self - we need to pick up some cycling glasses. Live and learn they say.
Have a great Labor Day everyone!

Ahhh, the good old Palmer Lane. That road has gone through so much transformation in the past ten years! Good workout. Still waiting on more awesome Landry pics ;)

Will let you know about the 3M Half, Joe. Looks mighty tempting; race on same day as Houston Marathon though. Chicago performace will determine what path I take. If its just sub-4 hours, I'll dial it back and prepare for '11. If I crush it; may look for another late-fall marathon to BQ before the cutoff. We'll know in 5 weeks, but would luv to run with you, my friend.

@Nina - check this out here - http://www.facebook.com/notifications.php#!/album.php?aid=203336&id=570983357&ref=mf there are about 18 new pics up on facebook --- she is such a cutie!
@Brian - that Houston full is a FAST one Brian. Totally understand - I'm gearing up for Austin on 2-20, so Houston won't be in my plans this year. If you make it to TX, we'll figure out a way to hook up for sure. Keep Crushing!

Thank you, Joe! So adorable and like everyone keeps telling you....you do forget how tiny they are during those first few weeks.

Great way to get the week going, Joe! Yes, definitely glasses when you bike. I'm assuming Texas has bugs, and a bug in the eyeball moving along at 20mph is no fun!

@Bob - oh yeah, we've got some bugs here - (Everything's bigger in TX) - good call!
