#dailymission - honestly the only thing that can knock me off my training is injury. Everything else there is away around, over, under or through. Staying healthy is my #1 concern.
21 miles to wrap up our first ever 70+ mile training week. Wanted to keep the first 16 miles of this one nice and smooth over the hill route, then negative split the final 5 miles finishing around ... read more
Nice job on the big week Joe - I know that's a major milestone for you, something you've been hesitant to approach, but your patience on getting there seems to be paying off.

What a difference one day and 1,500 miles makes. After yesterday's run in 5 inches of snow on the trail in Buffalo today's run felt like a summer day on TX. 75 degrees, just a little bit more wind ... read more
How nice for you, Joe! Glad you got home in time to enjoy this kind of weather. It's mid 60s here in Wichita today but we're supposed to take a turn for the worse in a few days. But hey, even that means the highs will reach the 40s. I can live with that kind of winter weather. Glad you got a few extra miles in to offset yesterday, and the pace is just tremendous!!
Solid homecoming run ...

I just got in from picking up the newspaper and thought the same thing - cold and still - perfect racing weather. I wasn't sure I would be ready to race this close to Houston so I didn't do 3M (though yesterday I felt great). Focusing on a PR Half Marathon in Austin in 3 weeks. (the day before I turn 40).
